The turnabouts to Lusong Beach Mariveles
I was pretty upset the whole day because our trip to Bataan the next day might be foiled. I'd had to make an emergency dentist appointment because of my dental braces. One of the brackets went loose after I ate an egg, yes an egg. I was preparing myself to cancel the trip.
But when my friends called and said that I could catch up with them, I was hesitant to accept and initially declined. But they insisted that I should go and said that they'd be waiting in the pier for as long as possible.
Immediately after the procedure, which involved cutting the loose bracket I rode the first bus to Mariveles. This was the first time I will be going there and honestly the thought excited me.
After my three (3) hour bus ride from Pampanga I finally arrived at the dock where the banca's were waiting and of course my friends were there to meet me.
Fate managed to make this trip more memorable for us.
It was late in the afternoon when we decided to take a swim. I believe we drifted we drifted a few meters away from the shore when one of my friends felt that his legs are starting to cramp.
So he decided to swim back to shore, but when he was halfway through, we saw that he started to wave his hands signalling distress to us. We tried to swam as fast as we could but we were exhausted already because we were in the water for hours.
Good thing he was wearing a life vest so he managed to stay afloat.
He started to panic and when we got a hold of him, he was already trembling.
It felt that we were going nowhere and the shore seemed so far but thank God we managed to get him in the shore and applied first aid and calm him down.
He calmed down and a sigh of relief was all we could do.

That night we went on with conversations under the canopy of stars.
This summer I have bonded so much with my closest friends. It's not because of the trips, but the circumstances that come with every adventure that make me feel how much they genuinely care for our friendship...
I thank God for my friends...
