Requiem

Raindrops on a plant

Tonight the rain falls like shattered glass,
each drop carrying your name through darkness.
I am drenched not with water,
but with absence— the hollow space where your kisses once bloomed.

How many nights have I gathered these tears like black flowers in my trembling hands?
The memory of your love burns inside me like a dying star refusing to fade.

I have become a collector of shadows,
a guardian of what we were,
while the earth continues its ancient turning and my heart carries this terminal spring.

Now I must bury our love beneath soil dark as midnight,
where it will join the roots and stones that know the secret language of loss.
